Electroneum has recently named their latest trusted miner as WONDER Foundation. WONDER Foundation is a non-governmental organization based in the UK with a vision to improve the lives of those living in poverty. Electroneum chose the NGO since they share a vision, which is to break the vicious cycle of poverty in developing countries.

WONDER Foundation

The UK-based NGO has worked around the world empowering girls and women by providing them with access to quality education. WONDER foundation also comes to aid natural disaster survivors. A good example is how the NGO stepped up for the victims of the Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. The victims received medical care as well as new homes courtesy of the foundation.

WONDER Foundation focuses on the long-term change in society. They also sponsor students in their projects and provide mentorship to make sure that they can complete their education, which helps end poverty.

Richard Ells, Electroneum’s CEO, praised the work done by WONDER Foundation. He added that they looked at many NGOs, but WONDER Foundation stood out in their work. Their work is also not limited to one particular region but instead spread out in Africa, Asia, Europe, and Latin America. Moreover, they have already made a difference in the lives of thousands of people.

Ubuntu Pathways

Ubuntu Pathways is another NGO chosen by electroneum to be one of its new miners. Ubuntu Pathways is in the good books, having received praise from Bill Clinton and Desmond Tutu, among other influential personalities.

After their in-depth investigations, electroneum discovered that the two, the Ubuntu Pathways and WONDER Foundation, are the most transparent and trustworthy NGOs in the world.

Electroneum Aims to Make Life Better in Developing Countries

Since its inception in 2017, Electroneum has been working to enable people to live a little bit better in developing countries. They have done this by rewarding them with ETN every month and allowing them to use it on their daily transactions. In South Africa and Brazil, ETN users are using the electroneum mobile app to top up their phones. In South Africa, users can use ETN to buy essential food items such as bread.

Both WONDER Foundation and Ubuntu Pathways will now receive ETN block rewards. The NGOs will use these tokens to further their work in developing regions all around the world.
