HOOXI Water Relaunched on 25th July as Korea’s First Paper-packaged Water

HOOXI CREATIVE, an eco-friendly enterprise, announced on 25^th July the relaunch of HOOXI WATER as Korea’s first paper-packaged water.

The relaunched HOOXI WATER uses Tetra Pak paper-based packaging to provide fresh and safe drinking water to consumers while significantly reducing the use of plastic, thereby contributing greatly to environmental protection and reduction of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions.

Proceeds from the sale of HOOXI WATER will be used to support global environmental protection and nature conservation projects. 50% of the proceeds will be used to make market purchase of climate action-focused blockchain currency W Green Pay (WGP) for contribution to HOOXI App’s monthly user reward pool and for cooperation with W-Foundation on its global nature conservation projects.

According to a recent report, over half of marine debris were found near coastlines, and plastic accounted for about 70% of the total. Approximately 165 million tons of plastic is estimated to be floating in the ocean. Based on current trends, there will be a ton of plastic for every 3 tons fish in the ocean by 2025. By 2050, there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish.

HOOXI CREATIVE is engaged in numerous eco-friendly projects and using the proceeds to support W-Foundation’s nature conservation activities and the HOOXI Campaign. HOOXI means to ‘breathe’ and is a proprietary brand, as well as the name of W-Foundation’s global campaign to promote nature conservation. HOOXI Campaign is delivered by the HOOXI App, HOOXI Festival, HOOXI Campaign songs, HOOXI Concert, HOOXI Bazaar and more.

HOOXI WATER can be purchased with W Green Pay (WGP) from 25^th July on HOOXI App’s integrated mall (mall-in-app). It can also be purchased with KRW 8,400 (Korean Won; 330ml x 12 packs) from 5^th August (Mon) on HOOXI Mall (Hooximall.com). In the coming weeks, customers will also be able to purchase HOOXI WATER with WGP on GDAC Exchange (gdac.com) 

W Green Pay (WGP) is a blockchain currency that is used to reward individual’s Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emission reductions. Since HOOXI App’s launch in Dec 2018, top 20% of users on the HOOXI App are rewarded every month based on their climate action activities. WGP is listed on GDAC, Huobi Korea and KuCoin.
