On October 17, 2019, Peertec (https://peertec.com/), Blockchain fintech company, launched GDAC Mall’s cryptocurrency payment infrastructure PeerPay on GDAC exchange (https://gdac.com/).

GDAC Mall’s PeerPay is the first and only cryptocurrency infrastructure in South Korea. PeerPay is designed with a payment and clearing infrastructure that can be applied to cryptocurrencies, exchanges, and products. Further, Peertec is cooperating with diverse entities to provide B2B solutions, not limiting the PeerPay service to GDAC Mall.

Peertec filed a patent for PeerPay’s payment technology. PeerPay’s technology is designed with a cryptocurrency clearing algorithm that makes real-time payment and clearing possible. The payment clearing engine overcomes the cryptocurrency market’s limitations by managing market fluctuations, reducing risks of high volatility, seizing arbitrage opportunities, and offering the optimal exchange rate.

The first product launched on GDAC Mall is HOOXI water, paper-packaged water for the Global Nature Conservation Campaign. Actor Yoon Kyun-sang is the face of HOOXI water. HOOXI water can be purchased at GDAC Mall using the tokens; W Green Pay (WGP), GDAC Token (GT), and Bitcoin (BTC) that are listed on GDAC exchange. Other than WGP, GT, and BTC, PeerPay will selectively onboard tokens listed on GDAC as payment methods.

Back on September 30, 2019, Peertec participated in Korea Blockchain Week’s main conference, D.Fine, and announced the upcoming launch of GDAC Mall’s PeerPay. Dr. Youree Lee, Peertec’s Chief Business Officer (CBO), gave a keynote speech under the theme of “Redefinition of Finance on Blockchain.” “GDAC Mall’s PeerPay is a service that users can easily use to make payments in cryptocurrency, the future’s payment method,
in their everyday lives,”
said Lee during the speech. “PeerPay will enable users to actively make cryptocurrency payments even at street markets.” Major domestic conglomerates, including Samsung Electronics, SK Telecom, KT, Hyundai BS&G, LG CNS, and global firms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Rakuten attended the conference.

Peertec is a blockchain fintech company that operates a cryptocurrency exchange platform, asset management and custody services, and a B2B payment platform. It recently changed its corporate name from Actwo Technologies. Peertec is cooperating with B2B partners from different fields, such as Interpark Bizmarket, Joonggonara, Danal, Terra, and W-Foundation’s HOOXI Mall.
