The company behind Slush Pool, the world’s first cryptocurrency mining pool to make its services publicly available has announced it’s going through a total rebrand.

Based in Prague, Braiins is definitely a less well-known company than that of Slush Pool, which is one of the largest bitcoin mining pools as it makes up for more than 9% of the OG crypto’s hashrate today.

Despite Slush Pool’s popularity, Braiin’s has been in operation since it purchased the legendary mining pool in 2013. Six years later and Braiins is making moves to make its involvement with Slush Pool more public, starting with a redesign of its logo and corporate identity across all its websites.

Luboš Buračinský, Creative Director at Braiin’s, told the press:

“After running and developing Slush Pool for the last six years more or less in the background, we’re going to take a more visible public position.”

With the forthcoming rebrand, Braiin’s is aiming to consolidate all its products under one banner.

Buračinský stated:

“The rebranding will also unify our other products and services, including Braiins OS.”

Miners are required to run firmware on their mining rigs in order to monitor processing and output performance.  Launched last September, Braiin’s OS differs from other mining firmware as it’s fully open-source and not closed off like several proprietary firmware solutions.

The announcement post stated:

“If you own the hardware, you should be able to have full control of it without worrying about some ‘hidden features’.”

In addition, the firmware company has plans to launch a number of new updates for its products in the upcoming months. Furthermore, the firm is also at work on a new “payout” feature for the mining pool, which would enable miners to have better control over how they get paid.

Lastly, Braiins is also “replacing the CGMiner with Rust implementation” for Braiins OS. This will make “adding new hardware much easier,” as per the announcement from the firm.
