Bitrefill, the cryptocurrency gift card provider recently added a service which allows users to book Airbnb rentals using five cryptocurrencies.

The Swedish firm announced the news via Twitter on Tuesday and Wednesday stating that customers can pay for Airbnb gift cards using Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), Dogecoin (DOGE) and Dash.

However, at this stage, the gift cards are only redeemable by U.S residents who make use of a U.S based payment method as per information on the Bitrefill website. Furthermore, the Airbnb gifts cards can only be used for rentals less than the length of 28 days, stated Bitrefull. US customers can purchase the gift cards in denominations of $25, $50, and $100.

The firm, which also offers mobile credit top-ups in cryptocurrency stated that the Airbnb offer is a voucher product which comes with a voucher code and instructions on how to use it.

In addition to the Airbnb offering, Bitrefill also announced the launch of cryptocurrency support for Netflix subscriptions, just last week. The firm also offers cards for travel services, VOIP, gaming and more depending on location.

Notably, Bitrefill is also an early adopter of the experimental lightning network. Back in January, the firm told publications that it has plans to implement lightning bitcoin payments for users via it’s “Thor” service which enables users to give lightning channels to other users with no setup being required from the recipient.

Bitrefill conducted its first real-world transaction test using the lightning network back in December 2017, stating that it topped up a mobile phone almost instantly with no fees.
