David became fascinated with the world of blockchain and cryptocurrencies in early 2017. After spending months building out market-making bots on the most popular cryptocurrency exchanges, he ran into the tax problem—having to report on the USD value of every single trade. Ultimately this problem led David and his two co-founders to start building tax software specifically designed for cryptocurrency traders. The company exploded in 2018 after their partnership with Intuit TurboTax.
David currently resides in Austin, TX. He has a depth of experience in Software-as-a-service, growth marketing, and business development. He mostly writes about the tax implications of digital currencies, but also enjoys discussing and theorizing about the many different business models that will evolve from the blockchain economy.
